Sutton-on-Sea – LightWaves

We're making 'LightWaves' in Sutton-on-Sea this October.  Sutton-on-Sea will be host to a free light night event on Saturday 26 October from 5.30pm to 8.30pm, with a unique display of illuminations, projections and performances.  LightWaves will feature a fire garden, Sir Joseph Banks inspired projections, street theatre and much more.  Running through the High Street, Meridale Centre and picturesque seafront, the event will include a special four-metre-high hourglass installation as one of the main attractions, filled with images, animations, and audio recordings from local residents.  A drop-in audio workshop will take place at the Meridale Centre on Monday 26 August from 10am to 1pm, or 2pm to 5pm, where people can turn up for free to help produce this installation.  As part of a lantern parade through the High Street at 6pm on the day, the event production team will be working with local schools and community groups prior to the event to produce roughly 100 lanterns.  No booking is required, and you are invited to drop-in at any time to enjoy what will be an enchanting and colourful night.  LightWaves is brought to you as part of the South & East Lincolnshire Councils Partnership's Arts Council England National Portfolio Organisation project, and is being produced in collaboration with The Sessions House and SessionsArts.  To learn more about this event, please visit https://loom.ly/ZVjOZys
