Update from Lincolnshire Wolds Countryside services

On behalf of my colleagues - Helen, Lauren, Liz, Claire, Ruth, Will, Sarah C, Sarah T, Steve S, Sarah W – and the Lincolnshire Wolds Joint Advisory Committee, please find attached a copy of our latest Annual Review documenting the work of the Lincolnshire Wolds Countryside Service, the Lincolnshire Wolds Farming in Protected Landscapes (FiPL) Programme and the Lincolnshire Chalk Streams Project for the period 1st April 2025 - 31st March 2026.  We have said a recent goodbye to Lauren North, Steve Scoffin and Sarah Weller and wish them well for the future.

We are currently awaiting official grant documentation to confirm our Defra grant settlements for 2026-27; to include our core grant, Access for All and capital uplift, as well as the expected continuation of the FiPL Programme for a further three years.  The e-publication provides a summary of just some of our partnership activities to protect, enhance and promote the Lincolnshire Wolds and further our wider collaborative work.  Thank you once again to all our volunteers, farmers, landowners/managers, communities and partners that have worked with us over the past 12 months.

Visiting Lincolnshire Show - We’ll be there so please don’t miss us.  We have a focus on the National Landscape, Lincolnshire Chalk Streams Project (celebrating 20 years of positive action), Farming in Protected Landscapes & welcoming the work of the Forestry Commission with Philip Ayres, Land Use Advisor also joining us.

Very best wishes from us all.

Steve
